You look at this photo and see a mass of things A door in the middle suggests an entrance to something Could it be the Bat Cave or some other secret lair? Nope.
This is the entrance to my bedroom in a nice Harlem apartment. Beyond that door is an 8x7 room, built in full size bed, and "closet." By closet I mean a rack to hang up a few shirts on, as you weren't getting much more than that in there. Not sure how I survived that one considering the amount of closet space my shirts alone currently take.
I had a window, with a window unit. The unit was fine except for those few weeks in the 90's and 100's, in which case is was barely noticeable.
I took this picture, along with several others, so Andrea could see what my living arrangements were. Fortunately, she was able to inspect for herself in July, which I believe was her only time to actually stay there, as I had moved to Bayonne just before her next visit.
All of this for just a few bucks less than I currently pay for a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom in Houston. Don't be jealous.

Jodie Foster is impressed at your Panic Room.
You're making me want to move to Harlem. I LOVE built-in bookshelves like that. Count yourself lucky it wasn't a Murphy bed...
